Textile Verlangsamung ist ein Forschungsartefakt, das ein Denken mit und durch das Material von E-Textilien manifestiert. Einerseits untersucht die Arbeit die vom Material diktierte Temporalität, indem versucht wird, dem inhärent langsamen textilen Handwerksprozess mit dem Skizzieren auf Stoff mit Garnen entgegenzuwirken. Andererseits ist es eine Dokumentation der unterschiedlichen Entstehungswege für E-Textile Projekte, und greift auf die Erfahrungen von fünf Expertinnen zurück. Durch Berührung bestimmter textiler Flächen können diese Interview-Ausschnitte nachgehört werden.
Unwinding Textiles is a research artifact that manifests a mode of thinking with and through the material of e-textiles. On the one hand, it explores the concept of time dictated by the material, by attempting to work against the inherently slow textile craft process and sketching with yarns. On the other hand, it is a documentation of the different ways in which ideas for e-textile projects emerge and draws on the experiences of five e-textile practitioners. The extracts from the interviews can be listened to by touching dedicated areas.
