Workshop with Petra Vicianová on mineral pigments in the Crafting Futures Lab.
In this workshop, Petra Vicianová shared her unique approach to extracting mineral pigments for use in textile printing. We were able to immerse ourselves in her practice and even collect minerals along the Danube near the University of Arts Linz to create our own pigments and ultimately print with them.
The goal was to learn from experienced practitioners and, based on this, to develop our own practice later in the course, placing established craft techniques in potentially new and unexpected contexts.
