In the context of crafting, we ask ourselves practically and discursively where and how the subject can – and should – develop within the framework of interdisciplinary areas and practices: where the previous individual subjects meet in terms of content, in the design of new teaching concepts at the interface between analogue and digital and in the development of a new subject identity. Irene Posch, Professor of the Design:Technology.Textiles teacher training programme at the University of Arts Linz, will give an introductory talk on interdisciplinary approaches. Examples will then be shown and tested in the workshops, aimed at consolidating the further development and positioning of the subject and at the same time offering practical orientation for the integration of new content to be brought into the lectures.
