Make visible the invisible – Designing with bacteria explores both the use of pigment bacteria as a sustainable method of dyeing textiles and the translation of bacterial growth into surface structure and shaping of textiles and garments. While the bacteria are initially invisible to the naked eye, their colours are made visible on the textiles and their nature and behaviour are used as a starting point for textile and fashion designing.
