Crafting Futures Lab

Ars Electronica Festival 2026

The Crafting Futures Lab presents an exhibition-in-progress where making becomes a method of collective research. We start with material – its grain, resistance, memory – and follow the threads it pulls: stories and histories embedded in fibers, dust, tools, and hands. Through workshops, conversational settings, rituals and responsive matter we explore, collect, exchange. We document and weave our notes, models, fragments and failures back into the exhibition architecture, as living evidence of our inquiries within an archive growing day by day.

Join us in crafting knowledge: across disciplines and generations; not as final answers but as shared frameworks for thinking and reframing: collaboratively, iterative, messy and unexpected.
